These Terms of Service govern your use of the House of Qalanjo website and your purchase of our pieces. Please read them carefully. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

House of Qalanjo is a Canadian luxury fashion house based in Vancouver, British Columbia, offering luxury Somali bridal wear and modest fashion. In these Terms, "House of Qalanjo," "we," "us" and "our" refer to House of Qalanjo; "you" and "your" refer to the person using our website or placing an order.
By accessing or using our website, browsing our collections, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or place an order. If you are placing an order on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.
You may use our website for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use it in any way that could damage, disable or impair the experience of other visitors.
You agree not to:
Our current collections include Bridal, Luxury Abaya Sets, Guest Diracs, Shaash Saar, Hijabs and Luxury Accessories. We may introduce, change or retire collections over time. Each piece reflects the craftsmanship and cultural heritage at the heart of House of Qalanjo.
All products are offered subject to availability. Because many of our pieces are produced in limited quantities or made individually, an item shown on the website may sell out or become unavailable. We may limit quantities, discontinue any product, or restrict availability at any time without liability to you.
We take great care to describe and photograph our pieces accurately. However, fabrics, beadwork, embroidery and finishes are hand-selected and, in many cases, hand-finished, so natural variation is part of their character. Colours may also appear differently depending on your screen settings. As a result, the colour, texture or detail of the piece you receive may vary slightly from the images shown. Such variation is not a defect.
We provide sizing guidance to help you choose. Garments may differ from standard ready-to-wear sizing, and fit can vary by silhouette and fabric. Please review the sizing information for each piece before ordering, and contact us if you have questions. For made-to-order and bridal pieces, additional measurement guidance applies (see sections 6 and 7).
All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
We make every effort to ensure pricing is accurate. In the rare event of an obvious pricing error, we are not obliged to fulfil an order at the incorrect price and will contact you to offer the corrected price or to cancel the order (see Order Refusal below).
Payments are processed securely through our commerce backend and its payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details on our own systems. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide. Your order is not confirmed until payment has been successfully received and the order has been accepted by us.
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. An order confirmation acknowledges that we have received your order; it does not by itself constitute acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when we accept your order, which we may indicate by confirming dispatch or beginning production of a made-to-order or bridal piece.
We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, including where:
If we cancel an order for which you have already paid, we will issue a refund for the affected items in accordance with applicable law.
Some of our pieces are made to order, meaning production begins specifically for you after your order is confirmed. Made-to-order pieces require longer lead times, and the timeline will be communicated to you. Because these pieces are created for you, they may be subject to different cancellation, return and exchange terms than ready-to-wear items.
Once published, our Made-to-Order Policy will set out lead times, measurement responsibilities, approval steps and cancellation terms in detail, and forms part of these Terms for made-to-order purchases.
Bridal pieces are among our most personal and meticulously crafted creations and are typically made to order, with fittings, measurements and tailoring specific to you. Given the bespoke nature of bridal work, deposits, production timelines, fitting schedules and cancellation terms apply, and these pieces are generally not eligible for standard returns or exchanges.
Specific bridal terms, timelines and what to expect throughout the process will be set out in our Bridal Client Guide and confirmed with you directly before production begins.
Shipping options, estimated timelines and costs are presented at checkout and described in our Shipping Policy once published. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed, as carriers and customs handling are outside our control.
Where international shipping is offered, you are the importer of record and are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by the destination country. These charges are determined by your local authorities and are not included in our prices or shipping charges. Delivery times for international orders may be affected by customs processing.
Your rights under applicable Canadian consumer protection law, including the laws of British Columbia, are not affected by these Terms. Where a piece is faulty, not as described, or otherwise not in conformity, you are entitled to the remedies available to you under law.
Subject to those rights, our returns and exchanges process — including eligibility, timeframes and any items that are final sale (such as made-to-order and bridal pieces) — will be set out in our Returns & Exchanges Policy once published. That policy forms part of these Terms.

Your privacy matters to us. How we collect, use and protect your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian consumer protection law.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, House of Qalanjo will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or from any product, except as required by applicable law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, our products or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Changes apply from the date they are posted. Orders are governed by the Terms in effect at the time the order is accepted.
